Dogters behaal uitstekende 14de plek
Skolefietsry vereis veel meer as net spoed.
Daardie vasberadenheid is net so belangrik soos enige finale posisie.
Elke deelnemer dra iets by.
’n Sterk fietsrykultuur by Hoërskool Louis Trichardt

Triegies deliver strong national cycling performance – 29th overall
Hoërskool Louis Trichardt is incredibly proud of our cyclists who competed against schools from across South Africa at the National Schools Cycling Competition, achieving strong results across the various divisions.
With the final results confirmed, the Triegies achieved:
🚴 Boys – 36th place
🚴♀️ Girls – 14th place
🚴 Mixed team – 20th place
🏆 Hoërskool Louis Trichardt – 29th overall
These results are a wonderful achievement for our school and reflect the hard work, preparation, teamwork and perseverance of every Triegie cyclist who competed at national level.
Girls secure an excellent 14th place
One of the major highlights was our girls’ team finishing in an excellent 14th place.
Their competition, however, did not go entirely according to plan.
One of our cyclists unfortunately sustained an injury and could not complete her race, while Cara suffered a bicycle breakdown and was forced to run part of the route.
Despite these challenges, the team refused to give up.
They continued to fight, supported one another and ultimately secured an impressive 14th place in the girls’ division.
It is during difficult moments like these that the true character of a team becomes evident.
Boys finish 36th
Our Triegie boys also proudly competed at national level, finishing 36th in the boys’ division.
Competing against cyclists representing schools from across South Africa provides invaluable experience and exposes our learners to a much larger and highly competitive field.
Every kilometre and technical section requires concentration, fitness, confidence and perseverance.
We are proud of the way our boys represented Hoërskool Louis Trichardt and contributed to the school’s final overall result.
Mixed team secures 20th place
When the performances of our boys and girls were combined for the mixed team category, Hoërskool Louis Trichardt achieved an excellent 20th place.
This result demonstrates the importance of depth within a cycling team.
Every cyclist’s contribution forms part of the bigger picture, making the mixed team’s 20th-place finish an achievement the entire Triegie cycling community can celebrate.
Triegies finish 29th overall
With all the final results taken into account, Hoërskool Louis Trichardt finished 29th overall in the competition.
For our school, this represents far more than simply a position on a results sheet.
Behind that result are hours of preparation, early mornings, training sessions, technical skill development and the determination to continue when the course becomes difficult.
It also reflects the strong cycling culture that has developed at Hoërskool Louis Trichardt.
A national challenge that builds character
Schools cycling demands far more than speed alone.
Cyclists must combine endurance, technical ability, concentration and sound decision-making while managing the physical demands of the course.
A race can also change within seconds.
An injury, bicycle breakdown, mechanical problem or difficult section of the course can completely alter a cyclist’s race.
Our Triegies experienced first-hand just how unpredictable the sport can be, but they also demonstrated what it means to persevere.
That determination is every bit as important as the final position.
A team achievement from every Triegie cyclist
Although every cyclist competes in an individual race, a school’s success is built through the collective efforts of the team.
Every participant contributes.
The boys’ 36th place, girls’ 14th place, mixed team’s 20th place and the school’s final 29th-place overall finish therefore tell the story of a team willing to test itself against some of the strongest school cycling teams in the country.
It is an experience that develops our learners not only as athletes, but also as young people.
A strong cycling culture at Hoërskool Louis Trichardt
These national results follow another exceptional year for Triegie cycling.
Throughout the season, our cyclists have shown that the sport is about much more than medals and finishing positions.
It is about discipline.
It is about teamwork.
It is about having the courage to stand on the start line regardless of how difficult the course ahead may appear.
And it is about the pride with which every learner represents Hoërskool Louis Trichardt.
Competing at national level gives our cyclists invaluable experience and the opportunity to measure themselves against a highly competitive field.

We are proud of every Triegie who embraced the opportunity to represent both Hoërskool Louis Trichardt and Limpopo with pride.
