Hoërskool Louis Trichardt is trots op twee van ons personeellede, Maggie Kemp en Louis Petersen, wat die geleentheid gehad het om aan die Nasionale Tennistoernooi deel te neem en hul span met trots op nasionale vlak te verteenwoordig.
Na vier wedstryde teen sterk provinsiale teenstanders het hulle die toernooi in ’n uitstekende 9de plek afgesluit, met twee oorwinnings en twee nederlae.
Sterk kompetisie op nasionale vlak
Die nasionale toernooi het deelnemers van verskeie provinsies bymekaargebring en vir Maggie en Louis die geleentheid gebied om teen sterk opposisie mee te ding.
Hul wedstryde het die volgende uitslae opgelewer:
- Vrystaat – verloor
- KwaZulu-Natal – verloor
- Gauteng-Noord – gewen
- Noord-Kaap – gewen
Met twee goeie oorwinnings uit vier wedstryde het die span gewys dat hulle uitstekend teen mededingers van regoor die land kan kompeteer.
Twee belangrike oorwinnings
Die oorwinnings teen Gauteng-Noord en die Noord-Kaap was hoogtepunte van die toernooi en het ’n belangrike rol gespeel in die uiteindelike 9de plek.
Om op nasionale vlak deel te neem verg nie net tennisvaardigheid nie, maar ook konsentrasie, deursettingsvermoë en die vermoë om onder druk te presteer. Maggie en Louis het deur die loop van die kompetisie hierdie eienskappe met trots uitgeleef.
Triegie Trots op ons personeel
By Hoërskool Louis Trichardt vier ons nie net die prestasies van ons leerders nie, maar ook dié van die personeellede wat deur hul eie deelname en toewyding ’n voorbeeld stel.
Maggie Kemp en Louis Petersen se deelname aan die nasionale toernooi is ’n besondere prestasie en ons is trots op hul 9de plek, asook hul twee waardevolle oorwinnings.

Triegie staff achieve 9th place at National Tennis Tournament
Hoërskool Louis Trichardt is proud of two of our staff members, Maggie Kemp and Louis Petersen, who had the opportunity to compete at the National Tennis Tournament and proudly represent their team at national level.
After four matches against strong provincial opposition, they completed the tournament in an impressive 9th place, recording two wins and two losses.
Strong competition at national level
The national tournament brought together competitors from different provinces and provided Maggie and Louis with the opportunity to test themselves against strong opposition from across the country.
Their results were as follows:
- Free State – lost
- KwaZulu-Natal – lost
- Gauteng North – won
- Northern Cape – won
With two victories from four matches, the team demonstrated that they were more than capable of competing strongly at national level.
Two important victories
The victories against Gauteng North and the Northern Cape were highlights of the tournament and contributed to the team’s eventual 9th-place finish.
Competing at national level requires more than technical tennis ability. It also demands concentration, perseverance and the ability to perform under pressure. Maggie and Louis displayed these qualities throughout the competition.
